Shift Physical Therapy, LLC provides a 1:1 manual treatment approach. The initial session lasts about 90 minutes and includes a thorough, hands-on evaluation. Based on the evaluation results, an appropriate treatment plan is developed, reviewed with you, and begins with your approval. Follow-up treatments usually last 60 minutes.


Please wear or bring comfortable clothing that allows for unrestricted movement to ensure the best evaluation and treatment. Jeans or pants with zippers or buttons are not ideal. Most treatments are carried out through the clothing. If a technique requires direct contact with the skin, it will be discussed with you in advance and only performed with your consent.


Heather is committed to providing exceptional care without the complications of insurance. Therefore, Shift Physical Therapy, LLC is an “out-of-network” provider. This means that insurance is not accepted, and full payment is due at the time of service. 


By remaining out-of-network for all insurance companies, Heather can offer longer visits (60-90 minutes) that minimize the need for multiple follow-up appointments and include advanced therapies that are not usually covered by insurance. 


Shift Physical Therapy is a non-participating Medicare provider. Heather is happy to refer you to other providers who accept insurance. Please contact her for more information. 


Currently, accepted payment methods are checks and cash.


It’s recommended that you contact your insurance provider to learn more about your current policy and understand your out-of-network physical therapy benefits. 


Having out-of-network benefits does not guarantee that you will automatically be reimbursed for the services. Therefore, it is recommended that you call the customer service number on the back of your card to discuss what out-of-network benefits are covered with your insurance plan. Due to the complexity of insurance reimbursements, it’s highly advisable that you select the option to speak with a representative rather than using the automated system.


Navigating insurance can be confusing. Heather compiled a list of questions you can ask your insurance company to help determine if your plan includes out-of-network benefits and what may or may not be reimbursed.

All superbill invoices will be provided to you by Shift Physical Therapy, LLC upon request at your next session unless other arrangements are made in advance.
